A well-established, family-operated organization in the debt collection and BPO sector is seeking a sales professional to join their team. The company manages a variety of debt portfolios, including government accounts, student loans, auto loans, and purchased debt portfolios. They serve a broad range of clients, including law firms, funeral homes, and financial services organizations, providing tailored collections and receivables management solutions.

Role

Summary

The company is hiring an ambitious Canada Sales Representative to help expand business development efforts across Canada, with optional opportunities in the U.S. This newly created role is part of the organization’s growth strategy. The ideal candidate is experienced in B2B sales within BPO or debt collections, thrives in cold-calling and self-sourced lead generation, and excels at building and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage sales initiatives across the Canadian territory, with potential U.S. expansion.
  • Design and implement sales strategies for domestic and international markets.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to uncover new business opportunities.
  • Build and nurture client relationships while growing the customer base.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, client onboarding, and service agreement management.
  • Generate new leads through research, networking, and proactive outreach.
  • Prepare proposals, respond to RFPs, and negotiate service terms.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Collaborate on branding, marketing, social media, and website content initiatives.
  • Conduct high-volume outbound sales, including phone calls, prospecting, and in-person meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Candidate Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; post-graduate qualifications are a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience, including at least 3 years in business development within BPO, debt collections, financial services, or related industries.
  • Proven success with cold calling, lead generation, and RFP submissions.
  • Strong understanding of BPO services, including contact centers, back-office support, and shared services.
  • Experience with collections (1st and 3rd party), insurance, or financial services is preferred.
  • Excellent strategic planning, sales analysis, and competitive research skills.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce; familiarity with DRS and CUBS is advantageous.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Valid passport and availability to travel up to 25%.
  • Personable, outgoing, and confident in managing high-volume outreach.
  • Base salary: $60,000–$80,000, depending on experience
  • Potential total earnings of ~$120,000 or more
