Endeavor Schools is seeking a caring Assistant After school Teacher to support our mission-driven programs serving preschool and elementary students. In this role, you'll help create a safe, engaging environment during after school hours by supporting enrichment activities, homework help, and structured play. You'll assist lead teachers with classroom management, daily routines, and communication with families while modeling respect and inclusivity. As part of a collaborative, child-centered team, you'll receive ongoing training and opportunities to grow your career within Endeavor Schools' nationwide network.

Responsibilities

  • Support lead teachers in implementing engaging after school activities for elementary and preschool students
  • Supervise children to ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment during after school hours
  • Assist with homework help, enrichment projects, and structured play that build social and academic skills
  • Maintain positive communication with students, families, and team members about daily activities and student needs
  • Help with classroom organization, set up, and clean up of learning and play areas
  • Follow school policies and safety procedures, including attendance, behavior guidance, and emergency protocols
  • Support behavior management using positive, child-centered strategies
  • Participate in staff meetings and training to enhance instructional and caregiving skills
  • Model respectful, culturally responsive interactions with children and colleagues
  • Assist with snacks, transitions, and dismissal to families or authorized caregivers
