Licensed Practical Nurse (Full Time)

South Coast Health is looking for a Full Time LPN for our Richmond Hill Pediatrics location.
Responsible for providing professional nursing care to clinic patients under the direction/delegation of a Physician, following the general policies and procedures established by South Coast Health. The LPN will participate in providing health promotion, health maintenance, and management of illnesses for patients. Care is provided as allowed within the scope of the Georgia Licensed Practical Nurses Board.
RequirementsCurrent Georgia LPN or Compact Nursing licensure. Current BLS/CPR Certification.
Qualifications- Able to assess a patient’s general condition, particularly the acutely ill patient and ensures that needs are met.
- Able to assist the physician(s) with examinations, vaccines, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
- Provide direct patient care as ordered by provider.
- Maintain confidentiality in matters regarding the clinic, its patients, and employees.
- Accurately document all patient observations, treatments, and procedures administered, patient/family responses, medication dispensed or prescribed, hospital data in the medical record.
- Coordinate patient care by triaging patient phone calls regarding urgency of appointments, and scheduling hospital admissions. Process all patient referrals and required follow-through. Maintain and keep updated referral report.
- Schedule lab work, specialist visits, complete necessary paperwork to ensure proper billing, complete physician orders. Verify and update patient data. Assist patients with completion of paperwork, as required.
- Assist with patient inquiries/concerns regarding medical care, medication instructions and prescription call-ins in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner.
- Coordinate care with hospital, home health services, hospice or other institutional settings per provider’s order.
- Administer immunizations and vaccines as needed.
Graduate of an accredited school of practical/vocational nursing program. Minimum of one-year clinical experience, preferably in a hospital or office practice setting.
