Overview
The Administrative Assistant I for the Prevention Business Product Management team plays a critical role in supporting a fast‑paced, technology‑focused group responsible for delivering and sustaining key systems that enable Prevention Services operations. Reporting to the Manager, Business Systems, the role provides day‑to‑day coordination, administrative support, and operational assistance across a range of activities including meeting logistics, financial and procurement processes, document and communications management, and coordination of team initiatives and events.

CompensationSalary: $28.68 - $34.04 per hour (subject to candidate qualifications and market conditions)
What you’ll do- Prepare and manage a variety of meetings and correspondence including emails, memos, forms, reports, manuals or other materials.
- Greet and direct external and internal visitors.
- Review, sort, and distribute email correspondence; respond to routine inquiries within established guidelines.
- Maintain paper and digital files, SharePoint, and records.
- Maintain office supplies and stationery.
- Consistently model the appropriate level of organizational behaviours expected of all WorkSafeBC employees: responsive, respectful, fair, collaborative, accountable, and forward thinking.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle concurrent activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of customer service.
- Completion of Grade 12.
- Recent and related experience in an administrative role.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word.
- Typing speed of a minimum of 30 words per minute.
- Excellent English language skills with accurate grammar and spelling.
Confirm legal entitlement to work in Canada.
