Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a keen eye for detail, and extensive knowledge of construction processes. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Staying in the Vancouver Island for a period of time is required.

• Supervise daily operations on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide project execution.
• Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost‑saving measures.
• Utilize construction management software such as Pro Core for project tracking and reporting.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Conduct regular quality control inspections to maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders, addressing any issues that arise during the construction process.
• Utilize Bluebeam for document management and collaboration among team members.
• Assist in the development of construction estimates and schedules to ensure efficient project planning.

• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
• Strong skills in supervising teams, with the ability to motivate and lead diverse groups effectively.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading, budgeting, and utilizing construction estimating techniques.
• Familiarity with construction management software tools such as Pro Core is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of quality control processes and best practices in construction management.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Superintendent: 2 years (required).
