Must-Haves:
- 8-15+ years of construction project management experience
- Experience leading large-scale MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) construction projects
- Experience managing renovations within active and occupied facilities
- Strong knowledge of construction safety programs, compliance, and risk management
- Expertise in project controls, scheduling, forecasting, budgeting, and cost management
- Experience managing project financials, forecasting, and reporting
- Proven leadership experience mentoring Project Managers and project teams
- Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience coordinating contractors, subcontractors, engineering teams, and field operations
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, Adobe, Visio, and scheduling/estimating software
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with in energy, utility, industrial, facilities, refinery, or oil & gas environments

Day-to-Day:
- Lead and mentor Project Managers across a large construction portfolio
- Oversee multiple projects from planning and design through commissioning and closeout
- Manage project schedules, budgets, procurement activities, and resource allocation
- Monitor project financial performance, forecasting, and cost controls
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and subcontractors
- Resolve project issues, risks, conflicts, and construction challenges
- Maintain project documentation, controls, and executive-level reporting
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company procedures
- Coordinate engineering teams, field operations, contractors, and commissioning activities
- Provide hands-on onsite project leadership in active construction environments
- Supervise and develop Project Managers and Project Coordinators
- Drive successful project execution while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Construction for a leading facilities and energy services organization supporting a major national energy client. This individual will lead complex capital improvement, renovation, and MEP-focused construction projects from planning through commissioning and closeout while providing mentorship and leadership to Project Managers across the portfolio. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial, energy, utility, refinery, or facilities construction environments and excel in managing projects within active, occupied sites where safety, stakeholder communication, and operational continuity are critical.
This role requires a hands-on construction leader who can oversee project financials, schedules, contractors, engineering teams, and client relationships while ensuring successful project delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives.
