Your Opportunity
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Team Lead to join our growing team. The ideal candidates should be motivated, talented, and committed team members, with a creative thinking, proactive attitude, good communication, organizational, and report writing skills. We are seeking an experienced engineer with an excellent track record both from a technical standpoint, and project delivery and implementation. The ideal candidate must have considerable experience in HVAC, plumbing systems and fire protection in high- and low-rise Residential projects.

Responsibilities- Report to General Manager/Director regarding
- Establish and monitor internal budgets and project delivery schedules
- Establish and maintain project criteria by means of team-based communication
- Motivate team (3+ Staff) toward performance excellence in all assigned tasks
- Directing staff on projects, assigning and reviewing work, and advising on technical problems.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date knowledge of technological developments in the field of engineering.
- Conduct client meetings, prepare correspondences, reports, specifications, and meeting minutes.
- Maintain effective liaison with clients, developers, consultants and agencies.
- Establish and maintain project criteria by means of team-based communication
- P.Eng. designation is mandatory.
- Minimum of 7 years of mechanical HVAC, plumbing and fire protection experience in design, project management and client relations
- Analytical, communication and report writing skills including the ability to obtain information and prepare reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with all employees, client divisions/sections, outside agencies and/or politicians and other levels of government.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and conflicting priorities
- Ability to formulate sound engineering decisions and judgment
- Interest/experience in the application of green engineering principles; LEED® accreditation is an asset
- Proficiency in coaching/teaching
