Electrical Field Engineer

Axia Electric is seeking an Electrical Field Engineer to play a key role in delivering complex electrical and process control systems for critical infrastructure projects in Northern California.

• Perform assignments that require application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks, further developing judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
• Exercise judgment in developing details of work, making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
• Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids.
• Assist with field inspections to evaluate the work performed and materials used.
• Assist with construction administration and documentation of deficiencies and deviations from plans.
• Work under supervision of a project manager or senior‑level team member.
• Research and compile project information for reporting, marketing, and funding requests.
• Create and maintain centralized files for project records (including digital).
• Coordinate logistics and meetings for project managers.
• Help in the preparation of reports, including monthly development reports.
• Assist with community outreach duties as needed.
• Attend neighborhood, community, and project meetings.
• Undertake tasks as may be assigned by project managers.
• Have a clear understanding of the budget and assist in the creation of and adherence to project and development budgets.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Prior internships involving Rail, Transit, and/or Water/Wastewater construction projects.
• Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and consistent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage changing deadlines and work well under pressure for multiple team leaders.
• Work independently and effectively to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Highly organized with excellent time‑management skills.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.

The salary range for this position is between $75,000 – $95,000 per year, depending on experience and/or education.
