With direct supervision, an intern is expected to learn the various aspects of the Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering functions at Parker Hannifin. This includes participation in the evaluation of product design and production processes for both new and existing components. Project/assignment goals will be to reduce costs, enhance product performance, and improve production processes.

  • Acquire knowledge of cross-functional engineering operations, responsibilities, and workflow
  • Observe work assignments performed by others and actively participate in hands‑on projects and/or special assignments
  • Use engineering skills to conduct analysis and modeling, engage in product design
  • Reverse engineer and create/update drawings for production tooling
  • Conduct production process time studies to support cost reductions and routings
  • Perform investigation, analyses, calculations for Engineering Change Requests
  • Maintain communication with program coach/mentor (if assigned) to provide feedback on departmental assignments and program improvements
  • Perform other related responsibilities
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or advanced degree program in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with 3D modeling software such as Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks
  • Ability to manage time, multi-task, and work effectively on a variety of engineering and manufacturing assignments
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team member
  • Demonstrates strong work ethic, initiative, and accountability for all assignments
Competitive Compensation
  • Pay Range: $20.94/hr to $34.89/hr
  • No benefit plan eligibility
