Position: Business Valuator (Richmond)

Lynch & Associates is a boutique forensic accounting firm specializing in Personal Injury Litigation Support (Economic Loss Quantification, Accident Benefit Quantification etc.), Fraud Examinations, and Business Valuation.

Our assignments consist of disputes in personal injury litigation, commercial litigation, fraud examination, and business valuation, and more. We are seeking a full-time associate with an accounting, finance, or business valuation background who has a strong interest in accounting/forensic accounting and business valuation, and who is interested in taking advantage of the ample opportunities offered by Lynch & Associates to grow their career and knowledge.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in drafting business valuation reports and deliverables.
  • The management and completion of assignments.
  • Provide detailed analysis of accounting records and other personal and corporate financial information.
  • Analyze financial data and other relevant information related to allegations of financial crime.
  • Assist in the preparation, presentation and critiquing of economic loss quantification reports.
  • Developing and maintaining their own technical expertise related to specific engagements.
Qualification Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or economics.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in business valuation required.
  • Candidates with CPA, CFE, and/or CBV designation, or currently pursuing these designations are preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Excellent attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a team and/or project.
  • Robust communication skills, both oral and written, and professional report-writing skills.
  • You are equally comfortable working independently or in team environments.
