We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to support a chemical manufacturing facility producing advanced life science materials including chromatography resins, liquid buffers, monomer solutions, oils, and other specialty products. This role sits within a multidisciplinary Manufacturing Science & Technology team focused on innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventative maintenance and complex troubleshooting on production equipment
• Conduct production setup of manufacturing equipment
• Assist with equipment installation and startup under engineering direction
• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical specifications
• Support engineering initiatives, parts qualification, and process evaluations
• Contribute to Continuous Improvement and First Pass Yield initiatives
• Document work activities in CMMS systems
• Make proactive recommendations to enhance preventative maintenance programs
• Provide basic guidance or training to lower-level technicians when needed
• Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to maintain infrastructure reliability

• Glass-lined reactors with heating systems
• Semi-automated fill and dispense lines
• Air classifiers
• Wet sizing units
• Inline mixing systems

Instrumentation

• Control valves
• Temperature, pressure, and speed transmitters

Automation Systems

• Allen Bradley RS Logix
• Control Logix / Compact Logix
• Automation Direct HMIs
• PLC systems

What You Bring

• High school diploma, trade school certification, GED, or equivalent
• 2+ years of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical, electrical, and automated systems
• Advanced knowledge in at least one skilled craft area
• Proficiency with tools and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Experience working with CMMS systems
• Working knowledge of PC systems and MS Office
• Ability to prioritize work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
• Strong communication skills and a solutions-oriented mindset
• Required licensure if applicable
