Production Line Kettle Operator Job Description
The Kettle Operator primary responsibility will be to cook mousses and cakes by maintaining the quality and food safety of products manufactured on the production site with respect to regulation, SQF 8.1 standards and compliance (process, raw materials, hygiene and environment).
Key Responsibilities- Cooking variety of mousses and cakes in industrial size kettles
- Lift heavy ingredients into the kettle machine and ensure correct measurements are made
- Ensuring each cook cycle is completed accurately by controlling the ingredients entering the kettle, the cook time and cook temperatures.
- Accountable for ensuring recipes are accurately followed and meet quality and sensory requirements to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Adheres to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
- Enter traceability in the computer system.
- Monitor and document the cooking process into a log for evidence of correct process with required food safety guidance.
- Clean the kettle machine as needed.
- Other duties may be required such as mixing, baking, depositing.
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
- Developing and maintaining a harmonious, effective working environment with team members.
- Must be able to read and write in English and Spanish.
- Follow instructions.
- Occasional seasonal overtime, including possible 6‑day work weeks.

- Frequent walking on the production floor; occasionally bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing stairs.

- Ability to perform in a fast‑paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Regular exposure to a manufacturing environment, including variable or extreme temperatures, moving mechanical equipment, and food ingredients/allergens.
- Required use of PPE such as hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), safety shoes, face masks, and other safety equipment as defined by company policy.
