Travel NICU Registered Nurse

Position Overview

Prime Staffing is seeking a Travel Nurse RN in the NICU for a 13‑week assignment in Richmond, Virginia. The assignment requires a 36‑hour work week, with 12‑hour shifts and a weekly schedule of 36 hours.

• Provide specialized care to critically ill or premature newborns in a Level III/IV NICU setting.
• Perform neonatal resuscitation, ventilator management, and family‑centered care.
• Work mandatory 12‑hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and possible on‑call duties.
• Potential floating to similar acuity units as required.
• Maintain compliance onboarding, which typically takes 4–6 weeks.
• Complete mandatory voice and nurse manager interviews.
• Make up missed shifts due to call‑outs.

• Registered Nurse with active state or compact RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of Level III or IV NICU experience.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); include expiration dates.
• Proficiency in neonatal intensive care management and family‑centered care.

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

• All time‑off requests must be submitted with the initial application.
• Compliance onboarding typically takes 4–6 weeks.
• Floating to similar acuity areas may be required.
• Commitment to make up missed shifts.
