Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Day Shift

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) ensures the delivery of quality care by adhering to the nursing care plan. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, while championing the organization’s core values and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
  • Identify teaching needs related to each patient’s diagnosis through collaboration with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team.
  • Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and ensure quality patient care through the nursing process.
  • Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
  • Communicate timely updates regarding changes in patient status to support continuity of care.
  • Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
  • Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with nursing policies and procedures.
  • Participate in creating a positive work environment through team building activities.
  • Assume charge responsibility as requested, following the orientation period.
  • Engage in professional development through continuing education and self‑study.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
  • ACLS Certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.
  • PCU or Critical Care experience is highly desired.
Schedule

Day shift, 3x12‑hour shifts per week.
