- Good knowledge of waste management and sustainability principles.
- Good knowledge of using IT systems and other tools in daily work duties.
- Good knowledge of functions within the IKEA unit and how they contribute to the product recovery, quality and safety processes.
- Good knowledge of the store's product recovery, quality and safety processes.
- Basic understanding of how each workflow within recovery and quality affects the unit's profit and loss.
- Physically able to perform tasks requiring frequent walking and safe lifting—sometimes up to 50 lbs.
- Take necessary action on products to give them a second chance, through As-Is Selling, Repackaging or spare parts management.
- Present and sell IKEA products in As-Is using a strong commercial expression, selling these products with pride, and setting relevant prices that are attractive to customers yet still generate the best results for the business.
- Always consider the sustainability impact when deciding when and how to recover products.
- Represent and be an ambassador for product recovery, quality, and safety awareness in the unit.
- Work closely with the different functions in the unit to ensure that common working routines and processes are followed related to product quality, safety and recovery.
- Support and execute the product quality and safety related tasks in the unit to constantly improve customers’ product quality perception of our IKEA products.
In the IKEA world, this position is officially referred to as Product Quality & Recovery Co-Worker. The starting rate/salary for this position is 20.14 CAD.
