Role Summary
Assistant Managers assist in the overall operation of the theatre, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and operational standards are achieved. They are cross‑trained in all departments and support where needed, providing inspirational training to all employees. The Assistant Manager can be promoted to Senior Assistant Manager, Theatre Manager, or General Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program and working at least six months.
Responsibilities- Follow the direction of the General Manager and support decision‑making.
- Work in all departments and all theatre job functions.
- Train and coach team members in their specific job functions.
- Assist in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the General Manager.
- Observe and participate in the inspection of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, property, roof, exterior signage, and equipment condition.
- Report needed repairs and maintenance to the General Manager.
- Ensure team members follow the dress code.
- Interact with guests to provide superior customer service.
- Learn and enforce policies and procedures as established in Cinemark’s Guidelines.
- Report employee relations issues to the General Manager or via the reporting protocol.
- Maintain high work‑ethic standards and code of conduct.
- Identify and sanitize high‑contact areas and use personal protective equipment when required.
- Address safety or security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.).
- Perform other work‑related duties as assigned.
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- Completion of Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, and MAP Core courses within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program.
- Basic food handling training and any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required.
- Safe Alcohol Service training for those working with alcohol.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Regular and consistent attendance.
- Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift.
- Excellent guest service skills.
- Accurate cash handling and basic math skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with all ages, genders, and personalities.
- Proficiency in English.
- Ability to work both in a team environment and independently.
- Ability to take and follow direction.
- Sense of urgency and good time‑management skills.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to train and lead others.
- Ability to resolve conflict.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre.
- Noise level may be moderate to high at times.

Pay Range$23.18 – $25.50 per hour.
