Tradesperson Licenced - Millwright -Richmond

Job Summary

The Licensed Tradesperson maintains, diagnoses, tests, and repairs the material handling equipment (MHE) (e.g., conveyors, gear boxes, rollers, drive unit, hydraulic and pneumatics systems, etc.) to ensure equipment is operating with minimal downtime in compliance with health and safety standards.

Tuesday – Friday: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, 30 min unpaid break. Saturday: 3:30 am – 12:00 pm, 30 min unpaid break. 40 hrs per week.

3700 Jericho Road, Richmond BC. (This is the primary location.)

• Conduct regular preventive/predictive maintenance on material handling equipment (MHE) to keep equipment in a good state of repair in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical or electrical failures of MHE to ensure minimal downtime and reduce downstream impact on service delivery.
• Inspect and monitor MHE and related facilities.
• Prepare and maintain reports (e.g., safety, operational).
• Coordinate and document work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Completion of specialized courses normally taught in community or recognized specialty colleges consisting of about three academic years. For electrician roles, a Licensed Industrial Electrician Certificate (442A) is required. For millwright roles, a Licensed Industrial Millwright Certificate (433A) is required.

5 years of experience as an electrician or millwright that installs, maintains, diagnoses, or repairs MHE.
