Refrigeration/HVAC Technician

• Reactive and preventative maintenance on Refrigeration/HVAC (HVACR) systems.
• Coordinate with foreman and other trades to complete work orders efficiently.
• Inform personnel of procedures and work order status to support decision‑making and compliance with building and safety regulations.
• Inspect HVACR systems and components (heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, refrigeration plants, etc.) to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventive or corrective maintenance.
• Install heating and air conditioning equipment and systems.
• Repair heating and air conditioning systems and components (pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping, etc.) to ensure a comfortable work environment.
• Respond to emergency situations to resolve immediate safety concerns.
• Operate a handheld device and maintenance software to perform and record work requests.
• Comply with the Health & Safety program and provide input to it.
• Comply with the Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct policies.
• Participate in rotating on‑call periods, responding to emergencies, handling after‑hours issues or covering shifts.

• 3‑5 years of relevant experience in refrigeration/air conditioning maintenance.
• Journeyman Refrigeration Certificate, licensed under HRAI.
• Valid Arena Level 2 Operator Certificate preferred (will be provided if not possessed).
• Strong computer skills for diagnosis and reference.
• Effective collaborator working well independently and in a team.
• Detail‑oriented problem solver with strong time management and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Reliability Clearance or eligibility to obtain it.
