Apprentice Electrician; Richmond

Position

We are looking for an Apprentice Electrician to assist Journeymen and Foremen on a variety of electrical installation and maintenance tasks throughout the Lower Mainland and North Shore.

• Assist with installing conduit, electrical boxes, pot lights, and other fixtures on slabs and within units.
• Perform rough wiring, lighting installation, and troubleshooting in units and corridors.
• Support all types of electrical installations using schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and equipment specifications.
• Learn and apply procedures for installing and maintaining electrical systems in accordance with City, Provincial bylaws, and Canadian Electrical Code.
• Work safely by following Work Safe regulations and company procedures.
• Adapt duties to meet the specific requirements of each job site.

• Electrical trade schooling (Pre‑Apprentice program or level 1–8 education).
• Reliable transportation to any job site within the Lower Mainland or North Shore.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work (e.g., chipping, concrete work).
• Knowledge of electrical codes and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, seek guidance when needed, and work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

• Indoor and outdoor work, exposed to all‑weather conditions (rain, cold, hot).
• Repetitive motions such as wire splicing, pulling, drilling, fixture installation, and ladder work.
• Frequent lifting, bending, crouching, kneeling, and working in construction zones with safety hazards.
• Work from heights on ladders, scissor lifts, or boom lifts.
• Job sites located across the Lower Mainland; employee responsible for transportation.
