Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance Mechanic — Primary

Schedule:

Day shift, overtime and call outs, as required —

Reports to:

Maintenance Supervisor — Compensation: $51.03/hr to start; after 3 months, $54.30/hr.

• Tank vessel opening and clean outs
• Perform certified welding, cutting and burning
• Perform pump, gearbox and motor repair
• Perform mechanical power transmission coupling and sheave alignment
• Changing of piping, valves
• General plant upkeep and maintenance
• Serve on emergency response team
• Complete all work instructions (work orders) and forms relating to maintenance, safety, and preventive maintenance while observing all safety operating procedures

• 3+ years of relevant maintenance experience in industrial or chemical environment highly preferred
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to use computer effectively, Microsoft programs, maintenance management system, e-mail, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, manufacturer s literature, diagrams or schematics
• Ability to work off-shift requirements including periodic emergency call out during off shift, including weekends and holidays
• Must be capable of performing tasks in all weather conditions and at heights while wearing personal protective equipment

Maintenance Mechanics at our Richmond, CA sulfuric acid production facility are responsible for maintaining, rebuilding, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on all plant operating equipment and facility buildings and grounds in a safe manner and in accordance with our Standard Operating Procedures.
