Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic
We are seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to join our team in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a full-time temporary-to-hire opportunity for skilled mechanics with at least two years of diesel mechanic experience.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing diesel-powered equipment, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities- Perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel-powered equipment and vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing.
- Identify worn, damaged, or defective components and replace or repair them as needed.
- Use diagnostic equipment and standard mechanic tools to troubleshoot mechanical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable workplace regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform other mechanic-related duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience required.
- Completion of a Diesel Mechanic training or certification program is a plus.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to use standard tools of the trade.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a hands-on environment.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work a full-time, 40-hour schedule.
Candidates are expected to provide or have access to standard tools of the trade.
