• Ryder drivers are paid weekly.
• Hourly pay: $27.18 per hour.
• Hours per week: 40 + additional hours per week.
• Paid training.
• Schedule:
  
  Tuesday – Friday (some Saturdays mandatory).
• Start time: 5:00 AM.

• Deliver solo to:
  Gilroy, Bay Area, Redding, Lake Tahoe.
• Route:
  Local home daily.
• Tractor type: 6 months straight truck experience required.
• Trailer type:
  Reefer, 16′, 24′, 26′.
• Equipment:
  Manual pallet jack, hand truck & lift gate.
• Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful.
• Freight:
  Very heavy touch‑beverages.
• Prefer beverage distribution experience.

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance and company drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide.

• Uniforms and boot allowance provided.
• Paid personal time off starts at day 1 – 80 hours accrued in first year.
• We encourage you to use earned vacation time. If you decide not to use it, we pay you the remaining balance at your hourly pay rate.

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle, complying with safety regulations, continuous training, and customer service.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards.
• Maintaining accurate records; loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Must have verifiable driving experience (must be in similar equipment if position requires operating a straight truck or box truck):
  • 6 months experience in the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years' experience within the last 10 years.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
