Truck Driver Non CDL

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class NON CDL Truck Driver in Richmond, CA, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

• Weekly pay: $1384 or more.
• Hourly Pay: $25.18 per hour.
• Hours Per Week: approximately 50 average hours.
• Paid training.
• Schedule:
  
  Tuesday–Friday, occasional Saturday.
• Start Time: 5:00 am or 10:30 pm.

• Deliver content to Gilroy, Bay Area, Redding & Tahoe.
• Route: local home daily.
• Tractor type: straight truck.
• Trailer types: reefer, 16', 24', 26'.
• Equipment: manual pallet jack, hand truck & lift gate.
• Freight:
  Touch – beverages.
• Trucks are 36 months or newer; include 24/7 roadside maintenance and company fuel at 800+ facilities nationwide.

• Safely drive the vehicle and comply with all safety regulations.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Detect, eliminate, or minimize safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records of loading/unloading freight.
• Assist with loading/unloading freight if required by customer.
• Continuously participate in training and provide customer service.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Minimum age 21 years.
• Minimum 6 months of verifiable driving experience.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
• Verifiable driving experience requirements:
  • 6 months of experience in the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years.
• Must have verifiable driving experience in applicable equipment if the position operates a straight truck or box truck.

This position does not require the operation of CDL‑regulated equipment; however, candidates with a valid Commercial Driver’s License will be subject to FMCSA requirements.
