Position Overview
Hill's Pet Nutrition, part of Colgate‑Palmolive since 1976, is a global pet‑nutrition leader. This Financial Analyst position in Richmond, Indiana supports finance operations and continuous improvement.
Location: Richmond, Indiana (On‑site).
Travel: up to 10% of time.
Work visa sponsorship: not available.
- Financial Closing & Reporting: Lead month‑end closing activities, prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet items, and produce the monthly Plant Performance Report.
- Variance Analysis & Forecasting: Partner with budget owners and plant controllers to analyze expense variances, develop accruals, and drive annual operating budget, standard costing, and quarterly Latest Estimate forecasts.
- Operations & Spend Management: Optimize SAP PO workflows, monitor open commitments, ensure timely goods receipts, and collaborate with engineering to close capital projects and track vendor spending.
- Internal Controls & Asset Protection: Support SOX audit testing, enforce internal‑control SOPs, manage fixed‑asset reporting, and coordinate cycle and year‑end inventory physical counts.
- Continuous Improvement & Partnership: Improve A/P processes to reduce transactional costs, analyze production orders to minimize material losses, and deliver financial training to cross‑functional plant teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related field.
- At least 2 years of accounting/finance work experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Workspace.
- Ability to research and resolve invoice issues in collaboration with vendors, budget owners and corporate departments.
- Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning systems.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace tools (ideally DOMO, Data Studio & AODocs).
- Ability to multi‑task and work efficiently in a team environment to meet deadlines.
Salary Range: $76,800.00 – $ USD. Pay is based on experience, qualifications and location. Salaried employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit‑sharing and long‑term incentives (Executive‑level roles).
