Hybrid Sr Tax Accountant

Overview

Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 per year. Path to partner with growing CPA firm. This permanent, full‑time Senior Tax Accountant position offers an opportunity to work with diverse clientele, providing comprehensive tax services and strategic financial guidance.

• Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for individual, corporate, partnership and multi‑state clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state tax laws.
• Providing tax planning services and offering strategic financial advice to clients.
• Researching and interpreting tax laws and regulations to ensure optimal tax benefits for clients.
• Collaborating with team members to manage, develop, and maintain client relationships.
• Identifying and implementing tax‑planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and increase client profitability.
• Assisting in IRS and state tax audits.
• Keeping up to date with industry trends, changes in tax laws, and new tax planning strategies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA required.
• Minimum of 3 years of public‑accounting experience focused on tax.
• Proficiency in tax software and technology platforms.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes, regulations and case law.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct tax planning and review tax returns.
• Exceptional analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to explain complex tax issues clearly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
• High ethical standards and professionalism; commitment to client confidentiality.
