Interim Kindergarten Teacher (Temporary – Maternity Leave Coverage)

Centerville-Abington Community Schools is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Interim Kindergarten Teacher to provide maternity leave coverage at Rose Hamilton Elementary School for the  school year.

This temporary position will begin with the start of the  school year and is expected to continue through March 1, 2027, with the regular classroom teacher anticipated to return on March 2, 2027.

• Valid Indiana teaching license in Elementary Education (or eligibility for licensure)
• Ability to create a positive, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to fostering the academic, social, and emotional growth of young learners
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and families

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based kindergarten instruction
• Assess student learning and maintain accurate student records
• Establish and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with parents and school staff
• Perform all other duties and responsibilities expected of a classroom teacher
