Certified Management Accountant

Overview

Masis Staffing Solutions is assisting our client in searching for an experienced Certified Management Accountant for a 30–90 day temporary assignment at a manufacturing facility in Richmond, Indiana (and possible per diem to stay locally for someone out of area).

This assignment is well-suited for someone seeking a short-term contract position and especially suited to a retired or semi-retired Controller, Certified Cost Accountant or Manufacturing Cost Accountant who enjoys short-term engagements and bringing experienced leadership without a long-term commitment.

Salary: $75 to $95 per hour based on experience

Schedule: Onsite, Monday through Friday, standard business hours

• Maintain and support standard costs and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Analyze costs, variances, labor, overhead, materials, and manufacturing expenses.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial results, forecasts, and operational reports for plant and corporate leadership.
• Review capital expenditures and monthly plant spending for accuracy and control.
• Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and internal control requirements.
• Participate in daily production meetings and partner with Operations leadership.
• Provide supervisor support to plant accounting operations.
• Ensure compliance with all company, corporate, and legal financial policies and internal controls.

• 5+ years of experience as a Certified Management Accountant, Plant Controller, Cost Manager or similar experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in cost accounting, inventory control, and variance analysis.
• Experience with JD Edwards (JDE).
• Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; MBA, CPA, or CMA a plus.
• Ability to step in quickly with minimal ramp-up.
