Role Overview
An Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) supports occupational therapists by delivering therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary setting, following professional and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in implementing treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises and activities of daily living (ADL) training.
- Help patients improve their functional abilities and independence through exercises and adaptive techniques.
- Document patient responses, progress, and report findings to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients and families on home exercises and strategies for continued progress.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure comprehensive patient care and support therapist evaluations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Must hold a current, valid state OTA licensure or certification, with preferred CPR certification.
- Educational requirement includes a degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Experience ranges from 0-1 years.
