• Navigate and travel throughout Marion County to ensure timely and efficient transportation
• Ensure the safe and reliable pickup and delivery of residents to their designated locations
• Completes pre and post trip report for each trip
• Completes thorough pre- and post-trip reports for every journey, documenting relevant details accurately
• Prioritizes duties in a manner consistent with organizational objectives and growth
• Completes and updates mandatory training and other licensure related items in a timely manner
• Maintains documentation that is accurate and legible

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 6 months of previous transportation experience required
• Minimum age of 18 per licensure requirements
• Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
• Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
• Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and physical
• Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening

The essential functions of this position require the physical ability and mobility needed to perform the job. This includes the ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods; occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs.; operate office equipment, including a computer keyboard; travel to other locations using private or commercial transportation;

and communicate effectively to exchange information.

The position also requires the ability to recognize and respond appropriately to client behaviors, staff instructions, safety concerns, and emergencies in an environment where individuals may display aggressive, self-injurious, sexually maladaptive, elopement, or other unpredictable behaviors.
