Position Overview

Join us in delivering compassionate, high‑quality healthcare to individuals and families in our community. Damar is currently seeking a Nurse to be part of our growing clinic team. The nurse is responsible for delivering quality nursing care to patients at Damar Health Services. Job duties include rooming patients, performing in‑office procedures, educating patients, and coordinating care.

Location

The nurse will work on our East campus located at 2000 Wernle Rd. in Richmond, IN. All clients receiving these services are conveniently located on our East campus.

Hours

Monday‑Wednesday 8 am‑5 pm, Thursday 8 am‑6 pm, and Friday 8 am‑4 pm.

Responsibilities
  • Provides timely nursing care to patients in the office setting
  • Ensures provider orders are followed to deliver care and results timely and efficiently
  • Follows through on referrals, education, and coordination of care until client medical needs are met
  • Reviews patient schedule each day and prepares for appointments
  • Prepares patients for provider visits by taking vitals and performing applicable tests
  • Administers vaccines, draws labs, completes in‑office testing, and makes referrals as ordered by the provider
  • Provides patient education related to diagnoses or health conditions as requested by the provider
  • Keeps the patient up to date on status of referrals, test results, and follow‑up care
  • Provides care that aligns with Damar’s core values
  • Treats all clients with respect, compassion, and understanding
  • Takes pride and ownership of Damar’s facilities and work areas
  • Serves as a role model for excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Follows established health‑related procedures and policies for Damar Health Services
  • Complies with all policies and procedures as defined in the employee handbook and Damar operational policies
  • Reviews client medical records for accuracy and ensures documentation is completed accurately and timely
Qualifications
  • Must have Indiana nursing license as a registered nurse
  • Minimum of one year experience in a medical office setting
  • Strong phlebotomy skills
  • Knowledge of childhood immunization schedules
  • Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier
  • Clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
  • Successfully complete a pre‑employment physical
  • Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
Essential Job Functions

Physical:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35 lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movements and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard;

to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Vision:
See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing:
Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
