Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour based on qualifications and experience. Full‑time, hourly position.

Job OverviewThe Field Service Technician in the Compression Systems and Services Division serves customers by installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all makes of rotary screw and reciprocating, as well as Centac and ECC air compressors, and associated compressed‑air system components. The technician uses precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting and must be familiar with all operation and parts manuals for the equipment.
Responsibilities- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with customers and co‑workers.
- Provide technical assistance on equipment pre‑commissioning, start‑ups, installations, and repairs of compressed‑air systems.
- Increase customers’ awareness of Ingersoll Rand products, services, and solutions such as Preventative Maintenance, Diagnostics, Audits, and Leak Detection.
- Perform preventative maintenance on compressed‑air equipment.
- Collaborate with the Service Coordinator to order and gather parts and supplies for installations and repairs.
- Assist and train apprentices and other Field Service Technicians.
- 2+ years of experience troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
- Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months without major or frequent traffic violations.
- On‑call availability; first 90 days may be exempt from on‑call but expect weekly on‑call periods thereafter.
- Physical ability to walk, stoop, kneel, lift and move weights as required by safety policy.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent.
- Read wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment.
- Install advanced network systems (IMMC/ASC, X Series Automation).
- Basic vibration troubleshooting.
- Basic air‑quality work (compressor/dryer air treatment).
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer usage, including handheld devices.
- Maintain proper business‑travel practices efficiently.
- Industrial air‑compressor maintenance and knowledge.
- EPA certification.
- Veterans/active‑duty military encouraged to apply.
- Daily travel within a 3‑hour radius of the service area.
- Company vehicle and fuel card provided.
Starting pay ranges from $25.00 to $35.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
