Transportation Driver

In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our community by safely transporting residents to and from their requested destinations. Your efforts will directly contribute to improving their well‑being and quality of life.

Remarkable Ways You Will Be Making a Difference
  • Navigate and travel throughout Wayne, Fayette, and Union Counties to ensure timely and efficient transportation
  • Ensure the safe and reliable pickup and delivery of individuals to their designated locations
  • Complete thorough pre‑ and post‑trip reports for every journey, documenting relevant details accurately
  • Prioritize duties in a manner consistent with organizational objectives and growth
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined in the Employee Handbook and the Damar Operational Policies and Procedures Manual
  • Complete and update mandatory training and other licensure related items in a timely manner
  • Maintain documentation that is accurate and legible
  • Complete incident reports, including reporting any suspected exploitation, abuse, or neglect of a client
  • Respect the culture, diversity and rights of all clients, their families and the community
What You Need To Be Considered
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 6 months of previous transportation experience required
  • Minimum age of 18 per licensure requirements
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
  • Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
  • Successfully complete a pre‑employment physical
  • Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
