Bookkeeper Accounting Assistant​/Quoting

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping activities, answer phone, clerical duties and assist management.
• Communicate with customers and vendors regarding accounting questions and personnel inquiries.
• Prepare and process daily, monthly and quarterly reports and tax payments, including bank reconciliations, payroll reports, time‑card reports, invoicing and shipping reports.
• Maintain a manual check register, update payroll and commission records, and verify reconciliations.
• Monitor office supplies, place orders, and ensure availability of office equipment.
• Handle confidential financial and personnel information, including checks and deposits.
• Determine accounts payable/receivable approvals and advise supervisor of upcoming payments.
• Coordinate computer support requests and refer personnel questions to supervisor.
• Correct common accounting errors by adjusting journal entries with assistance from computer support.

• Basic accounting or bookkeeping education.
• Organized, neat, detail‑oriented and self‑starting with minimal supervision.
• Capable of learning computer accounting applications within one month to acceptable performance.
• Good eyesight and ability to use a computer keyboard; able to lift up to 20 pounds.

Open office environment with contact to purchasers. Mostly desk work with occasional standing, bending and light lifting.
