Our utility client is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to support the Electric Operations team. This role provides analytical and administrative support focused on reporting, procurement, invoice processing, and operational data tracking.
This is a highly visible position working cross-functionally with field operations, finance, and leadership to support business decision-making and storm operations.
Key Responsibilities- Run reports and track operational goals within business systems (Safety Targets, Contractor Hours, OT tracking, etc.)
- Support procurement and payment processes for materials and contractor invoices
- Create shopping carts and purchase orders (POs) for contracts and materials
- Process confirmations and make PO updates (funding changes, requestor updates, etc.)
- Manage operational accounts such as vehicle EZ-Passes, rental vehicles, and cell phone acquisition
- Support emergency storm accounting and reconciliation of storm-related invoices
- Maintain understanding of Overhead Line contracts to ensure accurate invoice reconciliation
- Monitor data to identify trends, risks, and key themes within work management
- Assist with special projects and continuous process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate across teams to support informed business decision-making
- Associate’s Degree in Business or Finance OR 1–5 years of relevant analyst experience (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Experience with procurement, POs, invoice processing, or financial support functions
- Power BI or Business Intelligence experience a plus
- SAP, Power Plan, or STORMS system experience preferred
- Utility industry experience highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
