Senior Architect / Project Manager
CB Design Group is seeking an experienced Senior Architect / Project Manager with 10+ years of experience to join our Cleveland, Ohio area office. The firm’s work environment is collaborative, fast-paced, sometimes hectic, but always positive, valuing the ideas and input of all employees.
Qualifications- 5‑year Bachelor’s (B.Arch) or Master’s degree in architecture from an accredited university.
- Active Architecture License (RA / AIA) required.
- Minimum of 10 years managing A/E teams and developing design documentation in healthcare or other large‑scale institutional project types.
- Experience with Department of Veterans Affairs projects is a huge plus.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage project priorities.
- Some project management experience a plus.
- Proficient in using Revit for production of architectural construction documents.
- Experience with CA (construction observation, review of submittals, answering RFIs).
- Self‑directed with clear and succinct communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate innovative problem solving to keep projects within budget and on schedule while delivering quality services.
- Willingness to occasionally travel out of town for project meetings and site visits.
- Strong communication and graphic presentation skills.
- US citizenship or permanent resident status required.
- Manage project design team on projects through all phases of design, including site investigation, schematic design (SD), design development (DD), construction documents (CD), and construction administration.
- Manage projects with construction values of $10M – $30M.
- Work independently and report to the Director of Architecture.
- Use Revit to prepare construction drawings and detailing.
- Write and edit architectural specifications.
- Forecast staffing needs and allocate internal resources.
- Organize project design development and production delivery.
- Review architectural documents for conflicts with all disciplines; participate in QA/QC and technical reviews.
- Manage client/owner/contractor relationships.
- Lead and organize a team of disciplines and consultants.
- Prepare meeting minutes for project meetings.
- Review and submit client invoices.
- Assist in construction administration by reviewing RFIs, shop drawings, and other submittals.
- Contribute actively to firm‑wide process improvement.
- Assist with development and upkeep of Revit standards and templates.
- Perform other duties and tasks that may be assigned.
- Location:
In‑office, Cleveland Area (travel may be required). - Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:30pm – 5:30pm. - Job Type: Full‑time.
- Pay: $ – $ per year (commensurate with experience).
