Job Summary /Basic FunctionsEastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky is seeking an Assistant Professor of Global Hospitality. This position is a full-time, permanent position in the Department of Applied Human Sciences at Eastern Kentucky University. The faculty member will be responsible for teaching courses such as socio-cultural hospitality, universal sustainable design, multigenerational programming, global hospitality law, sustainable hospitality, history & culture of wine, and bourbon, beer & spirits.
They will also be responsible for scholarly activities and service to the university, community and profession.
This position requires a Master’s degree in hospitality, tourism, a closely related field, or foreign equivalent from an accredited or internationally recognized institution. In addition, applicant must be ABD in a hospitality, tourism, or closely related Ph.D. degree program at an accredited or internationally recognized institution and have a minimum of three months of experience teaching at a university level on the topics of hospitality or tourism.
