The Graduate, Online, Adult, and Transfer Enrollment Counselor serves as a dedicated resource for nontraditional student populations, providing personalized guidance and support throughout the admissions and enrollment process. This role assists graduate students, online learners, adult learners, and transfer students in navigating application requirements, financial aid options, academic pathways, and institutional resources to ensure a seamless transition to EKU. This position plays a critical role in recruitment, student engagement, and persistence, helping prospective students overcome barriers and make informed decisions about their educational journey at EKU.
Responsibilities- 40% - Serves as the primary contact for graduate, online, adult, and transfer students, providing guidance on academic programs, admissions requirements, and financial aid options. Assists prospective students in completing the application, transfer credit evaluation, and enrollment process. Conducts one‑on‑one advising sessions (in‑person, virtual, and phone) to support students in their decision‑making process. Works closely with the Marketing & Engagement team to develop targeted messaging and outreach strategies for nontraditional learners.
- 25% - Provides detailed application support, ensuring students understand program‑specific admission requirements and deadlines. Assists transfer students in evaluating prior coursework and navigating credit transfer processes. Collaborates with academic departments to ensure seamless transitions and clear degree pathways for transfer and graduate students.
- 20% - Leverages Technolutions Slate or other CRM platforms to manage student inquiries, track engagement, and personalize outreach efforts. Implements automation workflows, email sequences, and follow‑up campaigns to nurture prospective students throughout the enrollment funnel. Monitors CRM analytics to assess outreach effectiveness, refine recruitment strategies, and improve student engagement. Maintains accurate records of student interactions, application progress, and enrollment outcomes to support data‑driven decision‑making.
- 15% - Builds and strengthens relationships with community colleges, corporate partners, military organizations, and professional associations to expand enrollment pipelines. Represents EKU at transfer fairs, graduate school expos, employer‑sponsored education events, and online recruitment webinars. Works with university leadership to identify opportunities for articulation agreements and professional development partnerships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Master’s degree preferred in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, or Enrollment Management.
- Minimum two years of experience in higher education admissions, student recruitment, advising, or enrollment management.
- Experience working with graduate, online, transfer, or adult student populations preferred.
- Strong understanding of CRM‑driven engagement, transfer credit evaluation, and online learning enrollment processes.
