Program Coordinator III

Position:
Program Coordinator III within the Carl Vinson Institute of Government, University of Georgia. The role coordinates and manages multiple complex outreach and educational training programs totaling approximately $400,000 annually. Responsibilities include contract development and negotiation, master event planning, program development, evaluation and reporting, client relationship management, budget and financial oversight, IT support, and staffing plans.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage multiple complex outreach and educational projects for contracted clients.
  • Ensure U.S. Government standards for certificate programs are met and all deliverables fulfill client and university expectations.
  • Manage individual program contracts, including development of multi‑year contracts and adjustment of costs for training materials, instructor pay, and travel/lodging.
  • Handle administrative requirements for each program’s training events: budgeting, expenditure accountability, purchasing, reporting and evaluation.
  • Secure facilities, lodging, food and beverage, and audio‑visual support contracts for program training.
  • Enter and maintain participant training records and maintain data reports throughout enrollment.
  • Represent the institute at statewide meetings and functions for assigned programs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with business partners and clients, providing customer service.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and 5 years of professional experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Budgeting and financial reconciliation, customer service, data entry, event planning.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Relationship‑building and management capabilities.
  • Problem‑solving and adaptability.
Work Schedule and Compensation

Full‑time employee with normal business hours Monday‑Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Occasional after‑hours, evenings, and weekends may be required. Salary commensurate with experience. Allows for travel as needed.
