Human Services Program - Part Time Faculty Pool

Human Services Program at Central Ohio Technical College seeks part‑time faculty to teach undergraduate courses. The position is open until filled and requires successful completion of a background check.

Minimum Qualifications
  • master’s degree on a regionally accredited institution in social work, human services, or a related area (or an undergraduate degree with related work experience, professional licensure, or relevant certifications).
  • in‑depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught.
  • proficiency in oral and written communication in the language in which courses are taught.
  • ability to communicate effectively with students, peers, supervisors, and staff.
  • belief in and concern for community service.
  • high ethical and moral character.
  • proficiency with email.
  • willingness to teach in a variety of instructional delivery modes, including instructional technologies and online learning management systems.
  • commitment to diversity.
  • commitment to meeting students’ learning needs and empowering students.
  • personal and educational philosophy compatible with the goals, objectives, and mission of Central Ohio Technical College.
Preferred Qualifications
  • LISW or LICDC, along with HS‑BCP.
  • doctorate degree from a regionally accredited institution in the subject area.
  • previous teaching experience and experience with curriculum development and assessment.
Summary of Duties

Provide professional, quality work as a teaching faculty member by facilitating student learning through conducting and teaching technical education courses at the undergraduate level. Use active learning methods and a variety of instructional strategies to help learners meet course objectives, assess student learning, and provide academic assistance to students as needed.
