POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Registrar Systems and Degree Requirements Coordinator supports the operations of the Registrar's Office by managing academic requirements, student registration processes, and functional support of Workday Student. This coordinator builds and maintains degree requirements within Workday Student, assists internal stakeholders with system‑related processes, and performs various administrative duties to ensure accurate academic records and student success.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Basic foundation of knowledge and skills in technology and information systems obtained through an AA degree in computer science, information systems, educational technology, communications, or related fields, or equivalent certified coursework and at least one year of related work experience.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • Two years of experience as a program or support specialist with administrative responsibilities beyond clerical duties, including interpretation of rules, data collection and analysis, and evaluation of processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience with Workday Student or another student information system.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and system learning abilities.
  • Experience in a higher education setting.
  • Experience in lead or coordination work.
  • Proficiency with databases and the Microsoft Office suite.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

70% of duties include:

  • Serve as primary institutional contact, functional expert, and trainer for curriculum and degree requirements.
  • Build, configure, test, and maintain degree requirements, academic policies, and program structures within Workday Student.
  • Update curriculum requirements based on approved catalog changes.
  • Ensure accuracy of degree audits and academic progress rules.
  • Collaborate with academic departments and campus partners to implement curriculum updates and resolve issues.
  • Assist with testing and validation of system changes and enhancements related to academic requirements.
  • Serve as functional support resource for Workday Student processes.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolutions with stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and training materials for Workday Student functions.
  • Provide user support and training to faculty, staff, and students on Registrar-related Workday processes.
  • Participate in system testing, upgrades, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist students, faculty, and advisors with interpretation of registration policies.
  • Verify and maintain student information procedures.

20% of duties include:

  • Perform general administrative tasks to support Registrar's Office operations.
  • Maintain confidential student records in compliance with institutional policy and FERPA regulations.
  • Support office communication, scheduling, and workflow coordination.
  • Ensure academic record systems are well‑maintained and accessible.
  • Create and maintain forms, documentation, user guides, and training manuals related to academic records.

10% of duties include:
