Job Summary /Basic FunctionsAn Interpreter facilitates communication between current students who are deaf/hard of hearing in all academic aspects of the university experience, including but not limited to classroom lectures, academic advising, field trips, and internships.
Minimum QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's Degree is required.
Experience: Two (2) years of directly related experience is required. Equivalency:
Education or native-like ASL skills may substitute for experience.
- National Interpreting Certification is required and must be a member in good standing
- Full Interpreting License is required and must be maintained
- Temporary Interpreting License is required and must be maintained.
- Must be actively working towards National Interpreting Certification
