Elementary & Middle School Teachers K-8th grade
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons to elementary school students.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to promote a productive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement educational programs.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians.
- Utilize library services and resources to enhance student learning.
- Provide additional support to students as needed.
- Create daily lesson plans that are engaging, educational, and exciting for the kids, encouraging them to want to come to school.
- Deliver lesson plans in a way that catches the attention of the students and keeps them occupied and excited about learning.
- Reach school and course-wide performance goals for every student in class.
- Watch closely for students who are struggling with emotional problems, learning disabilities or situations at home, and help them find the resources they need.
- Grade papers and homework regularly to keep students updated on how they are doing and to head any problems off before they become habit.
- Increase educational knowledge and stay up to date on new methods by joining professional organizations, attending continuing education courses and attending regular training sessions for teachers.
- Offer praise and encouragement to students when they do well and when they are struggling.
- Capable of classroom management.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
- Must take a BCI & FBI background record check.
- Valid teaching certification/license.
- Experience working with elementary and middle school-aged children.
- Knowledge of early intervention strategies and techniques.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders.
- Job Types: Full-time, Contract
- Pay: $33,500 - $42,000
