William Paterson University invites applications for the position of Adjunct Faculty within the Cotsakos College of Business, Department of Management, Marketing, and Professional Sales.
Department OverviewThe Department of Management, Marketing, and Professional Sales (MMPS) offers BS and MS programs designed to equip students with essential business, marketing, and management knowledge, enabling them to launch innovative products and manage operations. Students develop communication and technology skills in a collaborative learning environment.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop syllabi and course outlines for up to six credits per semester in undergraduate courses.
- Provide consistent and effective support, mentoring, and guidance to students.
- Teach courses online or in person based on scheduling and departmental needs.
- MBA or Master’s degree in an applied business discipline.
- Five or more years of managerial experience.
- Full-time or part-time employment or active professional practice.
- Ability to teach online.
- Professional certification or continuing education relevant to business domain.
- Professional activity within the discipline, such as leadership or managerial role in business, non-profit, government, or professional organization.
- Experience teaching both online and in person.
- MBA or Master’s degree in an applied business discipline.
- Ten or more years of managerial business experience.
- Full-time or part-time employment or active professional practice.
- Ability to teach online.
- Professional certification or continuing education relevant to business domain.
- Published peer or non-peer reviewed articles, conference papers, blogs, or books.
- Board membership in business enterprise, non-profit, or professional association.
- Ability to translate business experience into pedagogical approaches.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Commitment to teaching excellence and assessment strategies.
- Patience and resourcefulness with student challenges.
- Ability to develop and sustain robust working relationships in a diverse environment.
- Ability to work toward common goals collaboratively.
New employees: $2,100 per credit.
Employees with 13+ semesters at WP: $2,175 per credit.
