Bilingual Associate Instructor I, II, III – Central High School )
Location:
CENTRAL HIGH MCA | Start Time: 7:30 AM | Closing Date: 07/15/2026
Salary Range: $17.00/hr – $26.96/hr (Grade 1A, 6/7/8)
Working Calendar: 187 days, 7 hours per day
Scope of ResponsibilitiesThis position supports the coordination, creation, and implementation of resources for Multilingual Learners (MLs) and their families. Duties include partnering with community stakeholders, providing direct services to MLs and families, and ensuring effective communication across diverse cultural backgrounds.
Minimum Qualifications:Bilingual Associate I
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Passing score on the Kentucky Para-educator Assessment or 48 college hours.
- Proficiency in two languages (English and appropriate language).
- Experience working with children and parents who have special needs, multi‑cultural and multi‑ethnic backgrounds.
- Knowledge of or openness to U.S. educational system philosophy, policy, and methodology.
Bilingual Associate II
- Associate Degree or equivalent training (64 college semester hours) and experience.
- One year of successful related field experience.
- Proficiency in two languages (English and appropriate language).
- Experience working with children and parents who have special needs, multi‑cultural and multi‑ethnic backgrounds.
- Knowledge of or openness to U.S. educational system philosophy, policy, and methodology.
Bilingual Associate III
- Three years of successful teaching experience.
- Proficiency in two languages (English and appropriate language).
- Experience working with children and parents who have special needs, multi‑cultural and multi‑ethnic backgrounds.
- Knowledge of or openness to U.S. educational system philosophy, policy, and methodology.
Applicants whose highest education is a High School Diploma or GED must take and pass the Kentucky Para educator Assessment Exam.
