Job Description

Step into a rewarding role as a Special Education Teacher supporting preschool‑aged students with cognitive delays for the  school year. This contract position allows you to make a daily difference in the lives of young learners, working closely with families and staff to nurture growth and achievement during these crucial years.

You’ll work across several sites within a close five‑mile radius, offering variety and the chance to collaborate with a dynamic network of early childhood professionals. This as‑needed assignment lets you tailor your approach to individual student strengths while shaping foundational skills for lifelong learning.

Qualifications &

Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher licensure appropriate for early childhood or preschool‑aged students
• Strong background in supporting children with cognitive delays or developmental needs
• Familiarity with designing and implementing IEPs for younger learners
• Passion for inclusive education and differentiated instruction
• Excellent communication and team collaboration capabilities
• Flexibility to work at multiple sites as required, all within a short commute

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective instructional plans based on each child’s unique needs
• Assess student growth, monitor progress, and document outcomes
• Collaborate with related services staff, general education teachers, and families to provide optimal student support
• Foster nurturing, engaging classroom environments that encourage participation and learning
• Adapt materials, activities, and assessments to meet diverse learning styles

This position begins August 31 and continues through May 20. Interview slots are open and flexible from August 10-14, ensuring a straightforward hiring process.
