Job Summary /Basic Functions

The EKU College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics is accepting applications for a Student Laboratory Assistant in the Chemical Storage Facility for the  Academic Year, starting August 2026, with option to renew, depending on shift availability and funding. Position pays $12/hour. Applicants must be enrolled at EKU and eligible for student employment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: tracking and documentation of chemicals checked out to faculty, preparation of some solutions for laboratories, log-in of chemical waste generated by science labs, and assist with laboratory inspections. Applicants must have completed two semesters of first-year college chemistry with at least a grade of "C" or better. Chemistry and Forensic Science majors are encouraged to apply.

Education: Must be enrolled at EKU and eligible for student employment.
