In this critical role, you’ll be at the heart of our float glass production process, ensuring our plants’ electrical systems and components are maintained at optimum efficiency and performance quality. You’ll collaborate with other teams to implement and improve electrical systems, optimize manufacturing processes, that allow us to stay ahead of the competition.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, values continuous improvement, and is excited to make a meaningful impact on our equipment… preventive maintenance to ensure operational efficiency operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Work to support and troubleshoot issues with control systems including PLC programming, interface systems, and PC controlled systems.
- Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
- Implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems.
- Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Oversee project equipment installation to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time and within budget.
- Collect data relating to commercial and residential development, population, and power system interconnections to determine operating efficiency of electrical systems
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 3 + years in an electrical engineering position in a manufacturing environment working with robotic equipment, PLC’s and Drives.
- Proficiency in CAD software and electrical simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of circuit design, power systems, and control systems
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
