Responsibilities, Authorities, And Accountabilities

  • Comply with all EHS, Quality, Chemical Hygiene, and Radiation Safety procedures.
  • Work within a small laboratory team to safely execute chemical production processes including daily use of strong acids, bases, and radioactive materials.
  • Perform all required lab safety and radiation safety protocols including radiation exposure control, decontamination, and emergency response in the lab.
  • Perform chemical calculations and prepare solutions including conversion of uranium oxide per technical procedures and drawings.
  • Support other manufacturing processes including heat treatment, electrical testing, and quality control testing per technical procedures and drawings.
  • Work with production planner and manager to meet manufacturing priorities.
  • Support failure analysis, troubleshooting, and scrap reduction through process improvement projects.
  • Purchase chemicals, lab equipment, and consumables.
  • Inventory control and reporting for laboratory materials.
  • Proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM field from an accredited university or college required with at least 2 years of laboratory chemistry courses.
