Position: NDT Level II Radiographer – High Energy RT

NDT Level II Radiographer – High Energy RT

National Inspection & Consultants/an Element Company, is seeking an experienced NDT Level II Radiographer with a strong background in High Energy Radiographic Testing (RT) to join a leading manufacturing organization that produces critical components for the defense, shipbuilding, nuclear power, and aerospace industries. This role is responsible for performing production radiography inspections on castings and weldments while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic testing (RT) on production castings and weldments.
  • Set up and operate radiographic equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements.
  • Interpret radiographic images and evaluate inspection results against applicable acceptance criteria.
  • Document inspection findings and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Ensure compliance with company, customer, and industry standards.
  • Adhere to all radiation safety regulations and procedures.
  • Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to support manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain certification requirements and participate in ongoing training as needed.
Qualifications
  • Current or previous NDT Level II Radiographer certification.
  • Experience performing High Energy RT inspections in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background inspecting thick‑wall castings and weldments.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of applicable NDT codes and industry requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting defense, aerospace, shipbuilding, or nuclear power manufacturing programs.
  • Familiarity with digital radiography and advanced inspection techniques.
  • Additional NDT certifications are a plus.
