Role
Purpose:
Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in industrial plant by performing the following duties.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction within the manufacturing process.
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and processes.
- Implement strategies to enhance safety, quality, and productivity to meet continuous improvement targets.
- Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and design layout of equipment, fixtures, tooling, and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Consult with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
- Consult with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Consult with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Write programs, design product routings, and design fixtures and tooling.
- Maintain a hands‑on mentality with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and project execution.
- Maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing processes, equipment specifications, and project status. Generate reports for management and project stakeholders.
- Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
- Identify and address potential manufacturing risks and provide solutions to mitigate them.
- Work safely every day and support efforts to maintain an injury‑free workplace.
- Define and establish part inspection processes that are cost‑effective and meet all quality requirements.
- Change and improve processes to increase productivity and competitiveness.
- Meet cost and schedule commitments while maintaining the utmost standards for quality.
- Promote a spirit of cooperation and follow company policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronic controls engineering, with hands‑on experience in designing and troubleshooting electronic circuits and control systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting wiring schematics.
- Solid understanding of network technology, including Wi‑Fi, Ethernet, and IP protocols.
- Experience in software flashing/commissioning of microcontrollers, preferably in embedded systems.
- Strong system debugging skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex electrical and software issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within teams and with stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic work environment.
- A willingness to travel occasionally for business purposes.
